When Harper Collins, publishers of the Collins’ English Dictionary, asked us to come up with an animation to celebrate the launch of their latest edition, we were thrilled.
After handing over the list of 50,000 new words to make the cut for the 12th edition, the Harper Collins team gave us permission to let our imaginations run riot through its pages.
The result: a frankly bonkers animated scribe, set to an equally mad monologue which weaves together a few of our favourite new additions. It’s delivered with gasket-blowing gusto by our hero, the wonderful Jake Yapp.
Caroline Maddison, head of consumer marketing and PR, Harper Collins, says: ‘Working with Scriberia on the video to support the release of the latest edition of the Collins English Dictionary was a real pleasure.
‘They were creative, professional and the end product has exceeded all of our expectations. I would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their work.’
We’re proud to say the animation was shared by thousands on social media, described as ‘a must see!’ by the MailOnline, and featured by The Daily Telegraph and STV in Scotland.
