Around 85% of the world’s fisheries are overfished or exploited, pushing species into extinction and destroying our environment. WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) is the biggest conservation organisation to focus on seafood globally.
WWF recently asked us to produce a short film that would increase awareness of their approach to sustainable seafood and spark conversations with seafood companies. Our animators were asked to create a concise, bright and engaging film that would appeal to both industry stakeholders and a wider general audience.
The animation follows the journey a fish makes after it’s been caught, through the various stages of the supply chain. The bright, playful graphics serve to draw the audience in, before delivering some hard-hitting facts. Our animators did a great job of simplifying technical jargon, without diluting the importance of WWF’s message.
We were proud to be asked to work with WWF again, following last year’s ‘Why the Amazon Matters’ animation, and we hope that it plays its part in bringing about a more sustainable future for seafood.
