When Newton, a London-based investment subsidiary of BNY Mellon, held a one-day conference to discuss financial markets in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, we were on hand to take notes unlike any they’d seen before.
Their programme had a strong focus on the future of technology and innovation, and so they asked us to produce a set of digital scribes that could be shared during the conference.
We began by creating an animation prior to the event, which was shown as an introduction to the day’s programme. And, using the bespoke visual language of the animation, we created digital scribes and printable visual summaries that could be shared on the day amongst conference delegates.
But our work didn’t stop there. During the conference, we put our noses to the grindstone, visual recording each of the day’s speakers and debates. Our work was then displayed on-screen at intervals throughout the day’s proceedings, and around the event space. This was a great way to fuel further conversation amongst conference-attendees, as well as creating a powerful and coherent identity for the event as a whole.
