Lawrence "Yogi" Berra: May 2, 1925 - September 22, 2015

Baseball is a sport of legends, but Yogi Berra is one of the few to be a true legend away from the diamond, too. His record as a player and a manager cemented his place in sporting history, but immortal "Yogiisms" like "It ain't over 'til it's over" and "It's de ja vu all over again!" made him a cultural icon.

President George W Bush, another man with a reputation for memorably mangling his words, once said: "Yogi's been an inspiration to me. Not only because of his baseball skills but because of the enduring mark he left on the English language."

We couldn't resist the opportunity to capture the spirit of the inimitable Yogi, when he died last month.

A scribituary is Scriberia’s own take on the obituary, and they give us a chance to do what we do best. As a specialist animationgraphic facilitation and illustration agency, we believe in the power of pictures to tell stories and connect people to content and its context.

A life, illustrated in a way that balances fact with feeling, and story with style, is the ultimate challenge for us as visual storytellers.
